new 2026 planners + playful sewing

Hello friends,

I have been away from this space, allowing myself to just soak in the summer and settle into fall rhythms with all the school things. It's nearly impossible these days to not get pulled into the chaos all around us. I find it's more important than ever to hold fast to simple, essential things in our lives: our loved ones and the meaningful work that we are called to, whatever that might be.

Does life feel like a lot for you right now? I wonder what grounds you? What makes you feel most alive?

I've been finding a lot of joy lately in hand-sewing, exploring what can be done with bits of fabric scraps and different kinds of thread and stitches, sewing whatever I feel like with no end goal in mind, no end product to put into the shop. It's incredibly restorative to regularly refrain from optimizing everything in our lives, from our children to our time. It's therapeutic for me to engage in slow analog activities, to feel the texture of the fabric, and hear the sound of pulling thread.

While I am doing more creating and exploring for its own sake, I still find it meaningful to release planners around this time of year. I love that there are customers who have been buying my little planners for the last 10+ years. It's nice to put something out into the world that others find useful. There is joy both in making simple useful things, and in making things just because.

I hope this season holds for you both moments of meaningful productivity and restorative play.

Wendy
